My wife and I both own and run our own businesses right here in Loughton. Milton Keynes is a fantastic city to start and grow a business and as a Conservative I am passionately pro-business.
Covid has hit our local economy hard. Like many other small businesses, my wife and I have both had to constantly adapt what we do and change how we do it and it has been tough. Unfortunately too many local businesses haven’t been able to survive.
Local businesses need support NOW and in the future. As we move toward a new normal, I want to see Milton Keynes remain an attractive place to live, work and play.
We must have a business recovery plan for all sectors, led by the local council and supported by local agencies. Nobody must be forgotten and no business left out.
If you are a local business and you are struggling, please let me know how the local council can support you better. Whether it’s free parking, or a cut in business rates. Grants or a better support hub.
